Concert Review Voodoo Room - The Music Of Hendrix, Clapton & Cream Cavern Club, Liverpool

  Clapton, Cream and Hendrix fans were treated to 2 hours of their legends’ music by the three musicians who make up the band, Voodoo Room - Peter Orr, Jevon Beaumont and John Tonks. This is an authentic tribute to the bands’ musical heroes, channelling the vibes and the spirits of Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jimi Hendrix. All their well-known hits such as ‘Strange Brew’, ‘Hey Joe’, ‘Sunshine Of Your Love’, ‘Layla’ and ‘Purple Haze’ were replicated along with some lesser known numbers plus some original tracks from Voodoo Room’s album, ‘Out Of The Cold’ which was available to purchase at the gig. The bands’ appreciation of their   musical icons shines through their performance and the audience showed their appreciation at the end of each number with loud cheers and clapping.   Lead guitarist, Orr encouraged the audience to join in and sing along at times; dressed in a black sequinned jacket and blue hat he informed the audience that his colourful guitar...
